Happy Easter!!

We hope everyone had a great Easter, we did! Devin looked very handsome in his outfit! From this picture some may think he knows it!

Devin was very good about not playing with his tie, I was very surprised, I figured he would have to off within seconds after putting it on.

Devin got lots of surprises for Easter, Grandma and Grandpa Kattestad got him a big duck, he couldn't wait to see it! If we would have let him I think he would have taken every ones animals. As you can see Devin is getting pretty brave because he was looking for a way to plunge off the couch. Luckily mom and dad know what a little dare devil he is so we are always close by.

Devin enjoyed looking in his Easter basket but I think we could have given him a bag of fake grass and he would have liked that just as much. Between Devin and Sophi the grass and plastic eggs were a huge hit, they just have to work on sharing now.

Grandma Kattestad/The Easter Bunny planned an Easter egg hunt. Dawson started the hunt before everyone else but he had to put the eggs back and wait, which he wasn't happy about. I think Devin may have been too little for this but he did have fun playing with the plastic eggs. Mom and Dad found the eggs for him but he picked them up and put them in the basket with a little direction.
Sophi had fun finding eggs too but it was hard because Dawson was much faster, watch out next year!!

Aunt Kelly and Uncle Steve were are baby patrol so they just watched and made sure everyone was sharing in finding the eggs. Next year Savanah and Tanner will be able to take part but with three older kids they may have their work cut out for them.

Here is Devin finding an egg underneath the tree in the backyard, it was hard for him to decide if he should pick up the egg or the wood chips, Daddy convinced him to get the egg.

We went to Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Goshaw's house for breakfast and an Easter egg hunt too but there were four cousins older than Devin so we helped them find the eggs. Mommy did help Devin find one egg and cousin Gauge found an egg with cookies in it so he gave it to Devin. The eggs for the older kids had money in them! Next year Devin will be able to go for the eggs with money!!!We attempted to get a picture of all the boys but as you can see it wasn't easy to get everyone to sit down and definitely not at the same time, surprisingly Devin sat there waiting for us to take the pictures.

Here is the closest we got to getting all the boys we are still missing Gauge but no one would sit still anymore so we had to let them run and play. Man who knew kids could be so busy.

We did get in a family picture, this was the first time Devin was in an outside swing and he thought it was pretty cool. We may have to look into getting him a swing to tie up in our tree.

Devin did a little playing after the Easter egg hunt, Grandpa Goshaw found this toy for all the kids to share. Of course it makes lots of noise so the kids love it, plus Devin can stand next to it so that makes playing even more fun.We had lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Goshaw's house, Devin decided to pose for us so we could get a good picture of him in his outfit but as you can see he wasn't really happy about it. Actually he was getting tired so really at that point nothing makes him happy.

After Devin had his nap he was ready to go, so he thought he would help Grandma in the kitchen. He wasn't really much help but Grandma loved having him there anyways and Devin had a great time getting into everything.

Of course no day is complete without playing IN the toy bucket, plus usually Mom or Dad will give free rides if you hang out in the bucket long enough. Devin seems to think taking all of the toys out and throwing them everywhere is the greatest thing in the world. Mommy can't wait til he starts to figure out how to put them back himself!

Devin has started walking with help and he is very good at standing all by himself so just to show off his skills here are a few pictures of his new trick. He is very impressed with himself but that may have something to do with the fact that Mommy and Daddy cheer for him every time he does something new.

GO DEVIN!!! YEAH!!!!!!

Well I promised I would get a video of Devin clapping so here it is, now I hope you enjoy his messy face. The best time to get him clapping is when he is eating, for some reason he claps all the time when it is dinner time.

10 Months Old!!

Devin is getting to be a big boy, he is now 10 1/2 months old. I know I am a little behind on the blogging, sorry, my only excuse is I have been engrossed in reading the Twilight series, these are awesome books and I highly recommend reading them!!! But beware they are hard to put done, Devin and Dan are happy to have me back!

Devin had a lot of fun taking these pictures, I actually think he is a little bit of a ham when it comes to pictures, I suppose that happens when mom has a camera in your face most of your life! What can I say I don't want to miss anything. Plus he loves this toy because he can walk with it! He thinks walking in pretty cool though he still hasn't gotten brave enough to try it on his own, I guess he just isn't ready yet.

This weekend we finally got Devin to start clapping, he has clapped previously but never very well, I think he really has it down now, he even clapped in church this morning, it was so cute. I don't know how people focus in church with little kids around, Devin is so distracting! So stay tuned everyone I will try to tape Devin clapping and then I will post it for all to see.

A few weeks ago Dan and I decided that we needed to make a cabinet Devin ready or Devin safe, so we decided to fill one with tupperware that Devin could play with and here was the result.

He just loves his new toys! I think we pick up tupperware about 10 times a day and it never fails the minute we pick it up he is back over there pulling it out again. Usually we find tupperware all over the house, it is pretty funny! However we have to wash everything before we can use it now because it is full of dog hair, thanks Sam! But Devin has fun and that is the important thing.

Devin for some reason really enjoys sticking the Tupperware on his face or head, it is pretty funny, oh and then he usually has to lick it when he puts it on his face, strange kid I know.

So here is what our floor looks like most days, I have decided that it is just impossible to have a clean/neat house with a infant around and I am sure it won't get any better with a toddler!

We haven't been doing a whole lot lately so just to show what we do on a normal weekend here is Devin lounging around, in MOMMY's chair!

The next picture we call this grandpa's buddy in training. Devin just loves the remotes, a true boy I know! We had to get Devin his own remote so he wouldn't ruin the ones we actually use, so Dan took an old remote, took everything out of it and now it is Devin ready. Oh and he has now learned how to turn the TV on and off from the TV so most shows are very interesting to watch now because we only get to see flashes sometimes, but Devin thinks it is great so oh well.

Devin has also started trying to stand on his own this picture was taken back when he we just starting to get a little dangerous with the one handed hold! Oh and notice we have to hold the remote, we can't go anywhere without it.

The other weekend was really nice so the whole family decided to go out for a walk, Sam was very excited! It was still a little chilly out so Devin got bundled up in his snowsuit, he wasn't a huge fan and he really didn't like how sunny it was, as you can see.
This is the only walk Devin got out for because the following week we found out he had a double ear infection so we decided it has to be much warmer out next time. He is still fighting off a cold and we aren't sure if the ear infections have cleared up so Dan is going to take him to the doctor again this week, man I am sure tired of these ear infections they really take a toll on Devin and Mom and Dad.
Devin and mommy did a little playing, more or less Devin climbed all over mommy. Devin thinks it is great fun to crawl all over people when they are down on his level, we really have to watch out when we are visiting his new cousins in Eau Claire because Devin is fascinated with their eyes! It won't be long before they can hold their own a little bit, for now we just have to play defense.
